Over time, however, new damage to the treated objects can occur. The damage could occur on several appearances, as well as aesthetically, chemically and physically. There are several factors that can cause damage: temperature, light, humidity, air pollution or incor rectly or incorrectly used materials often have a negative effect. The finds were treated restoratively andconservatively in the 1960s in the Thuringian State Office for Monument and Archeology (TLDA) in Weimar. The aim of the work was to examine the materials and methods of the 1960s used in the finds more closely and to identify possible causes of damage. In addition, the damage potential of the existing supplementary materials should be acquired. Ultimately, a concept for conservation and restoration should be developed First of all, it is necessary to analyze the used processes and materials. By researching and reviewing the work reports of the TLDA from the 1960s, the usedmaterials should first be determined.
